Still no word on the leaving date, but we are making progress towards moving! Today a guy came from the moving company to assess our stuff, and it turns out that 30 cubic metres is a lot bigger than I thought! We will be able to bring a lot more of our furniture, probably all the stuff we even kind of wanted. The best part was that he told us the moving guys will pack our stuff for us! They will bring boxes and even picture sleeves for our framed photos, and pack it all up. So we just have to finish sorting out what we're keeping, what's going to be sold/carbooted, and what belongs to other people. We have already lined up some probable buyers for a lot of the furniture we aren't taking, and some of the small electrics. We are going to see if the landlord wants to buy the washing machine, since it is new and in great shape, and it would let him charge more for the place... :V Hopefully he will go for that, since it would certainly be easier than finding someone else who both has the money and the means to take it in time. Now that the packing stress has been alleviated, I'm actually starting to get excited about Montréal. Woo! Oh and I also found out we'll be flying out of Birmingham instead of London, which is about 1000 times easier. Woo again! Ian's mum is coming up this weekend; I hope she won't be too horrified by the state of the house! I usually keep it quite tidy, especially when we have visitors, but with the packing/sorting frenzy it's just impossible... Different guy, different flavour of creepy. This one didn't really do anything I could have reported him for, but creepy nonetheless. There is a skeevy vibe you can pick up on when you are a lady and this guy had it turned up to 11. Went in to start doing squats and while I was setting up this guy gives me a really weird look. At first I thought he was pissed because like 'how dare a GIRL use the squat rack when I want it,' or some dumb shit. But then he just kept staring at me, in a way that just gave me the creeps. Other girls will know what I mean; it's hard to explain. Then when I racked the bar to switch legs while doing split squats he came over and leaned on it, and started talking to me with this cheesy/creepy smile. Creepy guy: So what's your name. Me: *gives fake name of choice* Louise. >:( CG: Why you train so hard. Me: It's my hobby. (I am trying to be as non-encouraging as possible without being outright rude, because I am a pussy.) CG: You must do a lot of aerobics. *leer* Me: No not really. And a few more inane questions until I finally just snapped 'look I have to finish this,' and got back under the bar. He then left the weight room, without putting away any of his plates (of course). Douche. At least this guy didn't attempt to 'spot' me while getting so close I could feel his body heat on my ass. Maybe I should be thankful...? :p Tags: creepy, gym Current Location: Llanbadarn (home) i feel: totally skeeved

Yeah! I had a great time with Emii at Wonderwool today. Had some really nice chats on the way there and back, plus the sow itself was awesome. There was a lot more stuff than either of us were expecting! So much to look at, and pet, and buy... @_@ Also they had sheep, and alpacas, and angora bunnies! :3 There was even a food fair going on at the same place, so we got to partake of a hog roast for lunch. Mmmmm, tastes like a pig. I spent way too much money on a fat bag o' yarn, including my first Noro and Malabrigo. I'm looking forward to finding some fun projects to use them on... I rationalized the expense by telling myself that it was cheaper than it would have been in a shop (one of the stalls even had a 20% Ravelry discount!), and so I have a ton of wool to keep me knitting longer for less money. Right? Right?! ;) Here's my haul... Game tonight, guest starring Terry. And hopefully Chinese for dinner. Woo! Tags: friends, knitting Current Location: Llanbadarn (home) i feel: cheerful
